The 20th District Installation
The 20th Annual District Installation Ceremony of Leo District 306 C1 was a milestone event held on 24th August 2024 at the Main Auditorium of the Department of Immigration and Emigration. Celebrating two decades of impactful service, the ceremony was a perfect blend of nostalgia and new beginnings.
The event began with a heartfelt tribute to the outgoing board members, recognizing their dedication and leadership over the past year. The spotlight then shifted to the newly elected team, led by the dynamic Leo Nisal Hennadige FLM as District President, who shared an inspiring vision for the future.
We are especially proud to announce that Leo Nisal Dulmith is the 6th District President to hail from our Leo Club, marking a monumental achievement for Kolonnawa Leos. His election continues a proud legacy of leadership and service that defines our club’s values and dedication to the community.
The new executive committee members include:
- Leo Lion Thimira Uyanhewage FLM as Immediate Past District President
- Leo Anjana Udesh FLM as District Vice President
- Leo Chehara Oshadhi as District Secretary
- Leo Srimal Weerasingha as District Treasurer
Additionally:
- PCP Leo Pulathisi Jayathilake will serve as District President’s Program Executive (Environment Sustainability and Sport).
- IPCP Leo Induwari Perisyalage will lead the District Publications and Editorial team.
- Our own Vice-President, Leo Dylen Wolff, has taken up a vital role within the District IT and Public Relations committee.
The ceremony was more than just a changing of the guard; it was a celebration of 20 years of service and leadership. With renewed energy and a shared commitment, the club is poised for a thrilling year ahead, ready to continue its legacy of making a positive impact on the community.
