One Faith, Many Blessings: The Multiple Ashirwadha Pooja 2025/26
As the sun rose on the 1st of July, 2025, we stepped into a defining chapter of Leoism—not as individuals, but as a movement newly reshaped.
For years, Leo Multiple District 306 functioned through six districts. Today, that structure has evolved. Through historic redistricting, the Leo Movement in Sri Lanka and Maldives now stands united under twelve districts — Leo District 306 D1 to Leo District 306 D12.
This transformation was not just administrative. It was deeply symbolic.
From the perspective of the Leo Club of Kolonnawa, now proudly serving within Leo District 306-D6, this moment marked more than a new Leo year. It marked a renewed responsibility — to serve with clarity, compassion, and purpose.
The Multiple Ashirwadha Pooja 2025/26, a long-standing and meaningful tradition of Leo Multiple District 306, became the moment where we paused together — not to plan, but to ground ourselves in faith before stepping forward.
First Light: St. Lawrence’s Catholic Church
Our journey began in the quiet, rose-hued walls of St. Lawrence’s Catholic Church.

As Leos from across all twelve districts gathered, the calm rhythm of prayer and candlelight gently dissolved district boundaries. The parish priest’s blessing for courage and compassion felt personal — a reminder that leadership in Leoism begins with humility.
For us, as members of Leo Clubs within Leo District 306-D6, it was a moment of alignment.
We weren’t representatives of separate districts.
We were one Leo family, beginning together.
Together in Grace: Jumma Masjid, Wellawatte
From there, we moved to Jumma Masjid, welcomed with warmth and sincerity.

The soft echoes of prayer carried a powerful truth — faith does not divide, it connects. Standing shoulder to shoulder with Leos from every district, we were reminded that service transcends belief systems.
For the Leo Club of Kolonnawa, this moment reaffirmed why Leoism matters: because understanding, respect, and unity are the foundations of meaningful service.
A Burst of Colour and Tradition: Pillayar Kovil
By late afternoon, we arrived at the Old Katirēsan Vajira Pillayar Kovil.

Surrounded by vibrant colour, ritual, and ancient energy, offerings were made and blessings chanted with reverence. As the flame flickered, it carried a deeper message — that Leo service is also about preserving culture and honoring tradition.
Here, it became clear that youth leadership and heritage are not opposites. Within Leo Multiple District 306, they move forward together.
A Gentle Ending: Gangaramaya Temple
Our final stop was the sacred Gangaramaya Temple in Hunupitiya.

The atmosphere was still — almost sacred in its simplicity. As monks spoke of metta (loving-kindness), something softened inside all of us. After a day of movement and reflection, we simply listened.
It was not a grand conclusion — but a deeply human one.
Twelve Districts. One Shared Spirit.
The Multiple Ashirwadha Pooja has always been a symbol of unity within Leo Multiple District 306. In 2025/26, that symbolism carried even greater meaning.
With the transition from six districts to twelve, Leos from every newly formed district — including Leo District 306-D6 — stood together, marking the beginning of this restructured era.
We did not gather because it was required.
We gathered because it mattered.
For Leo Clubs like the Leo Club of Kolonnawa, this day served as a reminder that Leoism is bigger than projects, positions, or plans. It is about people — and the values that guide how we serve them.
A Leo Year That Begins in Blessings
As we step into the 2025/26 Leo year, the memory of this day walks beside us.
Let every Leo Club initiative be guided by compassion.
Let every challenge be met with calm.
Let every district — from D1 to D12 — remember why we serve.
We began this Leo year in prayer — together.
And together, as Leo Multiple District 306,
we will serve.
