Leo District 306C1 Elections 2025: The Transition to 306D6 & 306D9 Begins
Leo District 306C1 Elections 2025 marked more than just a routine leadership shift—it launched a bold new chapter in Sri Lankan Leoism. Held on March 30, 2025, at the Leo Activity Centre, Colombo 07, this year’s election was the start of something truly historic. It wasn’t just about selecting leaders. It was about launching two new districts—306D6 and 306D9—and giving rise to fresh opportunities across the movement.
With the restructuring of Multiple District 306, the much-loved Leo District 306C1 is on the path to becoming two brand-new districts: 306D6 and 306D9. This shift doesn’t erase the past—it builds on it. It expands our opportunities, strengthens our network, and brings new energy into the Leo movement. For many of us, it’s emotional. We grew through 306C1. It gave us our first leadership roles, our first service projects, and our closest Leo friendships. Now, as the district evolves, we carry its spirit into something even greater.
Still Leading, Still Growing
We’re still guided by the steady leadership of Leo Nisal Dulmith, who carries the torch as the last District President of Leo District 306C1. His term isn’t over yet, and his presence reminds us of everything this district has stood for—unity, growth, and passion. His calm yet determined leadership has kept the district steady as we transition toward this significant shift.
But as we live out these final months of 306C1, we also look ahead with a sense of wonder. On March 30, 2025, we witnessed a powerful moment: the election of the leaders who will carry us into the future. These are the Elected District Presidents and Vice Presidents for the upcoming Leoistic Year 2025/2026—a year that will officially launch Leo Districts 306D6 and 306D9 into action.
The applause in the room, the cheers from club members, and the respectful nods from seniors—this wasn’t just a vote. It was a memory in the making.
Leo District 306D6: Our New Home
For many of us, Leo District 306D6 is where we now belong. A district still fresh, but already full of promise. The leadership elected to guide this new beginning reflects not only experience but also vision.

- Leo Anjana Udesh FLM – Elected District President (Left)
- Leo Lion Ravindi Hettiarachchi PFLM – Elected District Vice President (Right)
Both of them bring more than titles to the table—they bring commitment. From their track records of service to their calm but focused leadership styles, they are already shaping what 306D6 could stand for: innovation, unity, and impact.
For clubs within 306D6, this is a time of rediscovery. We’re forming new bonds across the district, setting new goals, and imagining what service looks like in this new structure.
The Rise of Leo District 306D9
Parallel to our journey, Leo District 306D9 begins its story with equal passion and clarity. The clubs forming 306D9 bring their own strengths, stories, and energy to the table. At the helm for 2025/2026 are:

- Leo Supasan Deemantha – Elected District President (Right)
- Leo Udara Herath – Elected District Vice President (Left)
These two leaders now take on the responsibility of shaping a brand-new district identity. With a fresh mix of club cultures, leadership styles, and service priorities, 306D9 has a blank canvas—and endless potential.
What This Change Really Means
It’s easy to talk about redistricting as a structural change—but for us, it’s deeply personal.
This isn’t just the birth of two districts. It’s the closing of one long, inspiring chapter, and the beginning of two new ones. For years, Leo District 306C1 served as a nurturing ground. It was where young leaders grew into change-makers. It was where we learned to work as a team, to speak up, to lead projects, and to make real impact.
Now, that same fire spreads further. With 306D6 and 306D9, we are no longer limited by the past—we are empowered by it.
A Movement, Not a Moment
“When a chapter ends, two more begin.”
That phrase captures everything we’re feeling. There’s nostalgia, yes—but even more so, there’s hope. Hope for more youth-led initiatives. Hope for tighter collaboration. Hope for service that’s more focused, more community-driven, and more relevant.
The leaders elected may not officially step into their roles until the next Leoistic Year begins, but the transition has already started. The groundwork is being laid. Clubs are reaching out, sharing ideas, building bonds. The momentum is real.
Looking Ahead
As we count down the final months of Leoistic Year 2024/2025, we celebrate the legacy of 306C1 while preparing to welcome what’s next. This transition gives us the best of both worlds: a moment to reflect, and a clear path to move forward.
For those of us now in 306D6, and for our fellow Leos in 306D9, the message is clear—we’re not starting over. We’re leveling up.
Here’s to new names, new numbers, and the same Leo heart.
