The Leo Movement in Sri Lanka began with the establishment of the Leo Club of Wattala in 1969. Over time, the movement grew exponentially, leading to the creation of Leo Multiple District 306, which encompasses all Leo Clubs in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

In 1989, District 306 C was born as a subdivision of 306 A and 306 B. Following a redistricting in 2005, the district evolved into Leo District 306 C1 and Leo District 306 C2, giving C1 its unique identity. Today, Leo District 306 C1 stretches from Colombo to Trincomalee, covering parts of Avissawella, Kandy, Matale, Polonnaruwa, and other key regions.

This expansive reach allows 306 C1 to connect diverse communities and create a profound impact through service, leadership, and fellowship.
